My First Day at Home!

Hi everyone, Emmett here! (My Aunt Amy is translating for me)

Today I got to finally leave the hospital and go home!

I love my new house and have been so busy since I've gotten here!

I've been sleeping, more during the day than my mommy likes me to...but hey, being this cute is exhausting!

My big brother has been so helpful! He even tried to put my hat on while I slept. Nice try, Landon!

When I finally woke up for a diaper change, I gave everyone a big surprise and marked my territory on my room. Sorry, Mommy, looks like you're gonna have to wash my curtains!

When I finally decided to wake up and look around, I decided I like it here! I have so many visitors and everyone talks about how cute I am!

Thanks everyone for adoring me! I think I'l go back to holding Aunt Amy's finger now...she totally loves me. But then again, who doesn't?

I Admit It...

Yeah, I admit it.

I'm officially an obsessive couponer.

Saving an average of 35-50% is just SO VERY addictive.

Then taking it home and organizing it,

First into a pantry.

And then into the beauty...

The stockpile.

It may be small (ish) right now, but it's definitely growing weekly.

As I coupon my way through drugstores, grocery stores, and supermarkets in the ME area.

As I teach my ways to my little sister.

And...

As I get more obsessive!

So, fellow couponers, let's do something awesome.

Comment my "Weekly Three" posts with your top 3 coupon steals of the week!

Pausing....

Life gets so busy sometimes that we don't get a chance to pause, and do something fun.

Like jump on the trampoline...

Point out neat clouds in the sky...

Show everyone how strong you are...

Snuggle with your loved ones,

Or even just relax in a rocking chair.

Smiles like this are the result of things like that.

So, lets try it.

We all may be surprised by the good memories it gives!

Coming Home...

Home.. What a wonderful place.

I've been home 24 hours, and thanks to a jet lag induced haze, I'm still processing through everything.

Walking off the plane and past security to see Jenna and Josh waiting for me.

Josh crushing me with a hug.

Both siblings telling me how glad they were that I was home.

One last trip to the baggage claim.

Going out to the car and seeing my parents.

Hugs from both.

Mom crying because she was so happy I was home.

Riding in the car on seemingly quiet STL roads.

How if felt to pull into the driveway of my house.

Going inside and taking it all in.

Giving gifts and telling stories.

And then, finally, my own bed.

Which felt strange, after sleeping on the rocks that the Chinese call beds.

Sleeping until I was woken up to go downstairs and wait out a tornado.

Then finally, back to my room.

Waking up at 1pm.

Knowing that finally, I was home.

If home is where the heart is, then is my home in China as well?
